Your Neighbourhood

Last Updated: 08 February, 2008

In 2005 the Government introduced Neighbourhood Policing within its National Community Safety Plan. The aim is to deliver a shared community safety agenda for each community.

Neighbourhood Policing is a truly local policing style, working with local people, partners and voluntary organisations to identify and tackle issues of concern in their neighbourhood.

In Oxford, there are to be 12 Neighbourhood Action Groups (NAGs).  The map on the right shows the area of each NAG.  You can click on to the area you live in to find out more about what is happening.  Alternatively, click on the links below.

All twelve NAGs will be up and running by January 2008.  Before each NAG goes "live", the police will ensure there is a dedicated team of police  officers, police community safety officers (PCSOs) and street wardens patrolling the area.
