Neighbourhood Policing

OSCPpictures/Oxfordneighbourhoods.gif

In 2005, Neighbourhood Policing was introduced across the country.  This policing style involves working with local people, partners and voluntary organisastions to identify and tackle issues of concern in their local area (neighbourhood).

In Oxford there are 22 neighbourhoods, shown on the map to your right, which are served by 11 Neighbourhood Action Groups (NAGs).

A NAG is a multi-agency, problem-solving group that consists of representatives from local authorities, police, businesses and most importantly, members of the local community.  NAGs focus their work around priorities that are decided on after consulting with the community.

Click on the name of your neighbourhood on the list below, to be taken through to Thames Valley Police's website for updates about your local NAG priorities and details of their 'Have Your Say' meetings.
