Work of the NAG

Last updated: 26 August 2010

This page tells you about the work of the Barton, Sandhills and Risinghurst NAG.

In June 2006, the Barton, Sandhills and Risinghurst NAG first consulted local residents to find out what they considered to be their main community safety concerns for the area. The most common 3 concerns were then set as the priorities for the NAG to resolve. Since then, the NAG has consulted the community again to identify new priorities for the area. The NAG meets approximately every 8 weeks to discuss work and progress on the priorities, and any other issues that may arise.

The current priorities for the Barton, Sandhills and Risinghurst NAG are:

Priorities:

1

Youth related ASB  (specifically in Bonney Banks Park, Underhill Circus and Richards Way)

2

Speeding (around the Collinwood Road / A40 junction )

3

Parking and offroad bikes. Parking issues around Sandhills Primary School and Terrett Avenue during drop off / pick up times. Off-road bike concerns around the Sandhills estate.

Details of the next Neighbourhood Policing meeting:

Our open surgeries take place every Tuesday between 1 and 4pm at the Barton Community Centre.
