Race and Hate Crime

Race and hate crime can mean many things to everyone.

The enquiry into the murder of Stephen Lawrence on 22 April 1993 defined a racist incident which includes hate crime as:

”any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or by any other person”

The experience of these crimes on the victim can have an intense and emotional impact.  Anger, stress and depression are common symptoms victims experience.

Below are links to services that can support and advise victims of these incidents but also how OSCP is tackling race and hate crime in Oxford.
